India Red Rose granted to Iran movie

Iranian movie ‘Inversion’ has nabbed two awards at the ninth Jaipur International Film Festival in India.

Directed by Behnam Behzadi, the movie won Red Rose award for Best Released Film as well as the prize for best film script in the event.

‘Inversion’ is a quietly dramatic tale of a woman in Tehran who decides to take charge and find ways to better express herself in the metropolis.

Its title refers to thermal inversion, a meteorological condition causing air pollution.

‘Inversion’ has recently received the award for best feature film at the 21st edition of the MedFilm Festival in Italy.

The Jaipur International Film Festival, the world's fastest growing film festival, is held every year in January or February in Jaipur, India.

According to festival announcement forums, “Launched in January 2009, Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF) became expanding establishing name in organizing world film festival every year in Rajasthan.”

The purpose of this film festival is to promote new movie makers, exchange of knowledge, information, ideas and culture between India and other nations in context of their social and cultural ethos, the forums also note.
